Bling a ding, you've got the ring! Now what? Ensuring your special day is captured by today's standards of professional filmmaking of course.

Weddings by Cinema-Styles shoots weddings like movies, meaning we bring the same techniques used from our independent film production company to the wedding market.

Every of our couple's film embodies WBCS' Three Ps.

  1. Pre-Production: planning and preparation

  2. Production: the actual shooting/recording

  3. Post-Production: editing and sharing

Pre-Production - THE PLANNING

WBCS Pre-Production is vital to all members of the I Do Cast and Crew. It ensures that the entire crew knows exactly what's going on.

Here's a look behind the scenes as to how we tailor our Pre-Production methodology to each individual love story.

  1. Bride and Groom Consultations: WBCS team is always a call, text or email away

  2. Production Scheduling: timetable for the use of resources required to produce film

  3. Story Development: the plot which ensures a beginning, middle and end

  4. Shot Planning: a screenplay helps to map the order we will capture your day

  5. Equipment Purchase: we are always upgrading our gear to current standards

  6. Custom Cinema Timeline: outlines the order of events and sets start/stop times

Now that the planning is complete onward to Lights, Cameras, and I Do's!

Production - THE ACTION

Film Production is the actual making of your movie i.e. the filming of events. As a standard to ensure maximum capture, WBCS provides 8 - 12 continuous hours of wedding day coverage.

Our motto on the day of is to get it done during Production so Post-Production runs smoothly and efficiently. How your moments are captured is critical to the film's success.

  1. Can Do Crew: WBCS team has cohesively produced films together for 13 years

  2. Equipment Set Up: gear is selected for each specific part of day/activity

  3. 6K Cinema: sharper images allow for creative shot selections during Post-Production

  4. Production Sound: live dialogue is recorded by cameras, mics and sound systems

  5. Data Management: includes validating, storing and protecting data for future edits

  6. Shot List Verification: constant reference back to the finalized Cinema Timeline

  7. Lighting: soft lighting compliments skin tones and provide for great beauty shots

  8. Drone Coverage: when conditions and venue allows aerial shots of the property

  9. Equipment Break Down: we have a small footprint by storing equipment not in use

Vows have been successfully exchanged, lights have dimmed, it's a wrap! Now, onward to the movie expertise of creating fire through film.

Post-Production - THE MAGIC

Post-Production is the third and final step in film creation. The images, sound, and visual effects of the recorded wedding are edited and combined into a finished movie, a love story.

The Magic is often lovingly referred to as the million clicks by WBCS crew members. It is here, this final step, that separates the hobbyist from the real professionals.

  1. Post Production: every film receives a minimum of 80 hours of editing

  2. Data Ingestion: importing data for immediate use or storage in a database

  3. File Management: files are organized into copy, master and archive folders

  4. Footage Review: footage is reviewed multiple times for the best shot selections

  5. Editorial Cut: arrangement of separate takes into sequences for a coherent story

  6. Sound Design: dialogue, sound effects and editing of composed audio recordings

  7. Personal Score: WBCS uses licensed production music to score your soundtrack

  8. Color Grading: contrast, saturation, color, black level and white point enhancements

  9. Motion Graphics: crossroad between animation and graphic design

  10. Visual Effects: involves live footage and special effects integral to a movie's appeal

  11. Title and Credits: all our films include custom opening & closing titles and credits

  12. Final Cut: finishing touches to ensure the film meets industry level control standards

  13. Digital Export Management: allows for playback on your computer or the internet

To summarize, no professional film is complete without the Three Ps. As you can see, it takes a lot to create a great wedding film. Everyone's involvement from the lovely couple, their bridal party and the vendors that become cast and crew are essential elements needed for the magic of creation. We believe our Boutique Wedding Cinema looks beautiful, sounds incredible and will withstand the test of time.
